Gary and Sheila’s journey into alternative healing methods began in 1997 when they became Reiki Masters together.
In 1998, they sold three McDonald’s Restaurants and moved from Anchorage, Alaska to the tiny Interior town of
Tok, (toke), Alaska. Sheila became a Certified Reflexologist through the Ontario College of Reflexology. Gary has been studying
Quantum Touch Healing.
Gary and Sheila are both Ordained Ministers of the Universal Life Church. They are also Licensed Spiritual
Healers through the Alliance of Christian Healers Association, ACHA.
Both Sheila and Gary are
Board Certified Raindrop Specialists, Founders and Staff Members of the HEART Institute, the Healing Arts & Raindrop
Training Institute, and teach classes nationwide on the history and use of essential oils focusing on Raindrop Technique.
Sheila is a trained and Licensed
Massage Therapist. She has been practicing
Crystal Vibration Technique and Color Technique for the last three years. Her newest passion in modalities is CranioSacral
Therapy developed by Dr. John Upledger, Osteopathic M.D.. Sheila has been through CS I and CS II and she
is currently going through the CranioSacral Techniques certification process with the Upledger Institute and is a member of
the American CranioSacral Therapy Association and also the International Association of Health Care Practitioners, IAHP.

Gary and Sheila are the owners of Aura Borealis Wellness &
Massage in Tok, Alaska. They utilize their intuitive healing gifts for all of their clients who can choose from
these uplifting modalities: Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Reiki, Massage, Raindrop Technique, Quantum Touch,
Reflexology, Essential Oil Use and Application, Crystal Vibration Technique, Intuitive Readings, and Spiritual Guidance.
They have two children who are each married and a total of five grandchildren.
Together,
Sheila and Gary, created and sponsored the 1st Annual Alaskan Goddess Festival at the Chena Hot Springs Resort in October,
2008. The Goddess Festival is a weekend long retreat with 10 workshops on alternative forms of healing, many
which are taught through the HEART Institute for continuing education credit. The 1st Annual Alaskan Goddess Festival

Beth Clark, CHT
Beth is a Certified Hypno-Therapist, Certified Somatic Healer and Teacher. She has a practice in Newport,
Oregon, on the beautiful Oregon Coast. Beth teaches classes in Portland, Oregon on varied topics.
She has a B.S. in Parapsychic Sciences from the American Institute
of Holistic Theology and is currently completing her Masters Degree and will follow up with her PhD.
Beth works with her clients in Guided Imagery, Past-trauma Release,
Addiction Release, Weight-Loss, Smoking Cessation, Positive Thought Processing and Relaxation. She has authored and

Laura
Legere’s focus of service and purpose is assisting clients with healthy living and spiritual exploration through her
private sessions in Aromatherapy, Raindrop Therapy, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu and Swedish Massage, the 22-Strand DNA Activation,
Health and Nutrition Counseling and Educational Classes in Aromatherapy Level I & II (Aromatherapy versus the Poison Personal

and published soon.

Snow Marks
Snow is an incredibly talented spirit from Girdwood, Alaska. She attended Alaska Pacific
University attaining a BA in Liberal Arts. She teaches Dance Therapy and is a Kundalini Dance Level 1 Facilitator.
Snow Marks is the Program and Volunteer Facilitator for Challenge Ski School. She was a volunteer instructor
for five years prior to joining the staff. Snow works closely with Jeremy Anderson recruiting, training, and retaining
volunteers. She schedules, organizes, and teaches lessons.
Ms. Marks is PSIA adaptive level one certified
and is working on her tele level one. Snow loves Challenge Alaska, and she enjoys working with the clients, caregivers and
volunteers and cares deeply about the success of the program.
Snow is the 8th child in a family of ten, and enjoys
the family feel of Challenge Alaska. Snow Marks is her given name from birth. Snow is an awesome tele skier, dancer,

industries, Monica experienced a life-threatening health crisis in September, 2003. The process of discovery and

Jen Otey
is a Mother, Artist, and Architect living in and inspired by the birch trees of Fairbanks, Alaska. She moved to Alaska
in the Summer of 2000 from the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, following recieving her degree in Architecture from Virginia
Tech.
Although, Jen grew up in Virginia she has lived in many wonderful places that have given her teachings
and teachers of Shamanism, Magic, and a love and reverence for Great Spirit and Mother Nature.
Over the
years she has developed her intuition as a tool for creating works of art that speak to people on a spiritual and intuitive
level. She has been drawing intuitive readings for people in Alaska for the last 6 years and has been giving distance
